The research & Technology Innovation incubator is taking shape A New era begins at the fixel institute Campus
The second floor of the Fixel Institute Research & Administration building is being transformed into the Research & Technology Innovation Incubator (RTII), a state-of-the-art hub designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across six UF colleges, and elevate research, discovery, and innovation in neurological care.
This space is being purpose-built to support breakthrough science and education in neurodegenerative disorders and beyond, with advanced environments for clinical trials, lab work, and cross-functional teamwork.

What to expect

- A fully outfitted neuropsychology clinical research suite to support patient care and cognitive research
- Purpose-designed dry lab spaces for cutting-edge scientific discovery

To ensure safety and support the construction timeline, the second floor will be closed to all employees during renovation, except for those working with the Healthcare Education Insurance Company (HEIC).
Restrooms and water fountains will be accessible on first floor, only.
