Departmental Staff Support

Support for the People Who Support Our Patients

The Fixel Institute recognizes that exceptional care and research outcomes depend on more than just scientific discoveries — they require strong, mission-aligned teams. The Departmental Staff Support mechanism allows departments affiliated with the Fixel Institute to request funding for key personnel who enhance patient services and interdisciplinary collaboration.

This includes support for roles such as nutritionists, social workers, behavioral health professionals, or other staff who help bridge the gap between research and clinical care.

All requests must be submitted by departments affiliated with the Fixel Institute. For funding aimed at individual researchers, please visit our People-Based Awards page.
