Research Pilot Awards

The Fixel Research Pilot Awards are available to all members of the UF research community and support innovative and novel research aligned with the Fixel Institute’s mission. Proposals are typically interdisciplinary, promote the missions of UF colleges, and demonstrate strong potential for securing future external funding, such as NIH grants.

Position Funding Awards

The funding supports clinical and research counseling services, including social work, genetics, and nutrition counseling. It also provides funding for interdisciplinary clinical and research training positions, including fellows and post-doctoral roles, in areas such as movement disorders and functional neurosurgery.

Discretionary & Bridge Funding Awards

This funding supports Fixel members by supplementing existing research programs and fostering organized collaborations. It may include resources for meetings, workshops, guest speaker engagements, and other collaborative activities.

Reseach Space Awards

Dedicated clinical research exam room space is provided to support interdisciplinary and collaborative research efforts. These rooms are reserved exclusively for research purposes, restricting scheduling by the general Fixel public. Awards are granted for up to one year.
