November Awareness and Appreciation Recap
November was a month dedicated to recognition, education and support across our neurology and neuromedicine communities. We observed National Family Caregivers Month, honoring the essential role of care partners who provide strength, stability and compassionate support for their loved ones. We also recognized Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, joining national efforts to increase understanding of dementia and promote earlier diagnosis, research progress and community resources. This month also included World Movement Disorders Day, a global moment to elevate awareness of Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, essential tremor and other movement disorders that affect millions worldwide. In addition, we honored Veterans Day, expressing our gratitude to veterans and acknowledging the neurological conditions that disproportionately impact this population, including traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and other service-related health concerns. Together, these observances reflect our continued commitment to advancing care, research and support for every individual and family affected by neurological disease.
