The Tourette Association of America Center of Excellence is comprised of two world-renowned clinical care centers: the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases and the Center for OCD, Anxiety and Related Disorders.
The TAA Center of Excellence is home to clinicians and scientists at the University of Florida and UF Health who are committed to the multi-disciplinary care of people living with tics, Tourette syndrome, and related disorders.
Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases
The Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases is home to scientists and clinicians at UF Health who are working on neurological disorders that afflict millions of people across the globe.
Center for OCD, Anxiety and Related Disorders (COARD)
The Center for OCD, Anxiety, and Related Disorders (COARD) is an interdisciplinary group of researchers and clinicians who conduct clinical and translational research in obsessive compulsive and anxiety disorders at the University of Florida.
Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)
CBIT is a non-medicated treatment consisting of training the patient to be more aware of their tics and the urge to tic, training patients to do competing behavior when they feel the urge to tic and making changes to day to day activities in ways that can be helpful in reducing tics.
