The Tyler’s Hope Foundation & Center of Excellence

The Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases is home to a Tyler’s Hope Dystonia Center of Excellence, a designation recognizing institutions with exceptional contributions to dystonia care and research. The University of Florida received this honor in 2008 for its world-class interdisciplinary care model, reinforcing its leadership in dystonia research and patient care.
The Tyler’s Hope Foundation has played a pivotal role in funding dystonia research and establishing Centers of Excellence that integrate neurology, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, genetics, psychiatry, and nutrition into a holistic care model. These centers set the standard for dystonia treatment and serve as blueprints for comprehensive, patient-centered care.
