Two upcoming UF Health Wellness University events focus on brain health and quality of life

This May, UF Health Wellness University is hosting two free educational events designed to support brain health, improve quality of life and empower patients and families with valuable knowledge.

On Monday, May 18 from 6–7 p.m., join a live webinar, “Improving Quality of Life for Essential Tremor,” led by neurosurgeon Justin Hilliard, MD. This session will explore an FDA-approved, incisionless treatment option known as focused ultrasound, which can significantly reduce tremor and allow patients to return home the same day.

The following day, on Tuesday, May 19 from 10–11 a.m., attend “Let’s Talk: Senior Mental Health,” a free in-person seminar at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. Presented by Timothy Moore, MD, this session will focus on the importance of emotional wellness in older adults, including how to recognize depression, differentiate it from dementia and explore available treatment options.

Both events are designed to educate, support and connect the community with expert care and resources. Whether you are living with a neurological condition, caring for a loved one or simply interested in learning more, these sessions offer meaningful insights you can apply to everyday life.
