PD-Connect’s First Monday Speaker Series is closing out the year with a special session featuring Pamela Zeilman, APRN, an award-winning nurse practitioner and internationally recognized expert in deep brain stimulation (DBS).

What to Expect

This session is designed primarily for patients and care partners, especially those who are:

  • Recently implanted
  • Seeking to better understand ongoing programming and optimization

  • The fundamentals of deep brain stimulation
  • Why DBS is not “one and done”
  • How ongoing programming can improve day-to-day function
  • Common questions from Parkinson’s patients navigating DBS

About the Speaker

Pamela Zeilman is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in DBS and movement disorders at the UF Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases. With nearly two decades of experience in DBS programming, patient education, and multidisciplinary care, she has helped build UF Health’s nationally recognized DBS program.

She has trained more than 70 neurology fellows, mentors future nurse practitioners, and presents internationally on DBS and advanced practice care.
